Welcome to the Friends of York Dog Park!
The York Dog Park officially opened on June 2, 2024, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and community supporters. After years of planning, fundraising, and partnership with the Town of York, the Friends of York Dog Park—a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit—proudly opened the gates to a safe, fully enclosed space where dogs can run, play, and socialize off-leash.
Open seven days a week from dawn to dusk, the park at 17 Bog Road is free and open to all responsible dog owners. Please help us keep it beautiful and safe by following our carry-in, carry-out policy and bringing water for your furry friends.
The York Dog Park was built entirely through community donations and grants, not tax dollars—and we rely on continued support to keep it open, well-maintained, and improving. Your contribution helps fund essential upkeep such as fence repairs, waste supplies, landscaping, and future amenities like an on-site water source and seating areas.
💚 Donate today through our secure link at https://friends-of-york-dog-park.square.site/ or by scanning the QR code on our park signs. Every gift—large or small—helps keep tails wagging!
To “snail mail” a donation, please make checks payable to Friends of York Dog Park and mail to, Friends of York Dog Park, c/o Ann Peterson, 37 Clay Hill Road, York ME 03902.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
